Serene Tan - Soprano Serene adds the beautiful light touches to tic tac tone's pieces, her ludicrously high notes soaring with "bearly" an effort. Being a founding member of tic tac tone, she brings to bear her extensive experience in choral and musical training. Serene is delighted to see the group's efforts over the past couple of years bearing fruit, and bears all of tic tac tone's idiosyncratic antics with excellent humour.
Alina Tan - Alto Alina has been singing and performing, from plays to musicals to cross-talks (which was a long, long time ago), since she can remember. Always game to try new things (at her own pace of course!), she is looking forward to getting the group to stage a small musicial to the story of The Little Mermaid so that she can play the part of Ursula - The Octopus Witch.
Roy Sim - Tenor Roy began his love affair with music banging a toy piano at the tender age of three. Since then, he has been classically trained in the arcane arts of music theory and pianoforte, while honing his vocals in the bathroom. Actively involved in theatre and music since his schooldays, he continues to produce cutting edge a cappella music today. Roy has toured extensively around the world, but has yet to perform in Vienna. He is extremely proud to be a part of the overwhelmingly talent-endowed tic tac tone. Future projects include cartwheeling in the Himalayas and the musical Rant.
Ken Chew - Baritone Ken joined TTT in the spring of 2003, but not after having to go through an arduous audition process which consisted of tasks so gruesome that they cannot be printed on this page. He soon found out, however, that singing with TTT has its privileges, such as playing with Roy's cat every Sunday afternoon at practice. In addition to bringing to TTT his unique R&B singing delivery, Ken also spends his free time indulging in tuna puffs and dreaming about when his beloved Tottenham Hotspur will win the Premiership title... if ever.
Gene Wong - Vocal Percussionist/Bass There once was an evil director of an a cappella group. And she spelled the end of Gene's forays into the secret arts of a cappella music. Fortunately, tic tac tone rescued Gene from a life of cynicism and music that uses real percussion. He looks forward to more spittle-flying moments and the life of fame and fortune that will undoubtedly come with joining tic tac tone.
Chan Khar Liang - Bass Khar Liang is deeply in love with musical theatre. It all began when he first saw the touring production of Les Misérables in Singapore. He's since watched Les Miz 7 times, and Sunset Boulevard (his favourite musical) a jaw-dropping 13 times. Spectating aside, he's crazy about singing and has managed and vocally directed a production of the Gershwin musical Crazy For You. Khar Liang is thrilled beyond belief to be part of tic tac tone and looks forward to producing some earth-shattering, ground-breaking a cappella with them.
There are also other people in tic tac tone who are not out on the frontline with us, but still remain actively behind the scenes. Kenneth, for the refreshing vocal arrangements (and we had a GREAT time performing with you!), Vincent, for humoring us with your sweet innocence and Boon, for always believing in us.
